FYI: THIS EXACT ITEM IS THE LAST OF THE NON-PCB VERSIONS.
This is my fuzz face I strayed from the original schematic in a few ways and managed to get all of the pros and none of the cons of the design as I see it. Scroll through auction photos for a video demo!
Features:
* Nasty booming edgy thick fuzz at maximum.
* Incredible "cleanup" with guitar volume knob roll-off trick. Does everything between fuzz and a certain crispy clean sound fuzz face are supposed to make!! (requires fuzz face to be first in chain)
* Quite a bit louder than the original circuit.
* Battery should last many years if unplugged between usage., if you really use it for an "always-on" effect, clip off the LED and it could last more than a decade.
* Uses standard power supply & can even be daisy chained with other pedals just as well!
* Silicon: sound doesn't change with temperature as with germanium
* Completely eliminated the possibility of radio interference
* Suited for correctly using wah before fuzz face!!!
