  • Condition: There is a crack in the torch head ring which movers up and down to change amount of air being introduced into head. I believe it has no effect of the torch use. Shows in pics. Has been tested and heats very nice..see one pic of it lit.

    Description

    Vintage OTTO Bernz Co. Blow Torch Head MODEL TX. Rochester, NY USA made. Included is a large removable solder tip. Tip is super clean and about 3/4" diameter with 4-sided front tip surface. It is held onto the 5/8" diameter torch head with a thumb-screw. I did install on a Propane tank and it heats the top quickly. I did notice the hand on/off dial knob needs to be turned off quite tight to stop the flame. Works though, but I am sure there is perhaps some cleaning inside of these to the needle jet might correct that? Don't know, this is how I found it at an estate sale. I have never soldered with it. Overall length is about 9-10". See pics of small crack in brass slider part on tip.
    This would be great to do tin work or stain glass leading in an area where you don't have power for an electric solder iron or remote location. No gas tank included of course, available cheap everywhere.
