ROYAL COPENHAGEN Blue Fluted Plain Large Oval Tureen UNDER PLATE 1 / 217 Denmark

Description

Up for bid is a second quality large oval tureen under plate in the pattern called “Blue Fluted Plain”.  This pattern was made by Royal Copenhagen of Denmark.  The piece stands about 2 1/4” tall at the ends.  It has an overall length of 16 1/4” and a width of 10 1/16” with the center surface measuring 8 3/8" x 5 5/16".  The bottom is marked Royal Copenhagen along with the shape number 1 over 217.
It has been hand washed for your immediate use.
There are no cracks, crazing or repairs.
The underside inner foot ring has a couple factory losses and there are two dark spots on the bottom.
When inspected under bright light the surface is clean with signs of use and a factory glaze blemish.
There is no staining or discoloration and the decoration is in wonderful condition with no wear.
