    Description

Offered for sale is an unusual in depiction vintage original 1940s WWII technicolor pin up print with a military photomontage, a wonderful lithograph featuring the rare image of an African American enlisted nurse celebrating military victory in a "victory girl" pin up pose. A dazzling World War II lithograph in near mint condition and a rare example of African American pin up from the period. After WWII a few of the calendar companies starting using color photography to jump start the then sluggish pin-up market and introduced stylized technicolor photo images as pin-up art. Perhaps the work of the illustrators was starting to look recycled and seen as dated. While anonymous, these images were often done by the most skilled and gifted commercial glamour photographers. Measures 7 3/4" x 9 3/4." Due to the unique nature, rarity, and age, all items are being sold in found condition, as described and pictured. ************************* For more great vintage items, visit us at www.grapefruitmoongallery.com, www.stores.ebay.com/grapefruitmoongallery, or find us on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram!
